A grandmother whose hobbies once included cycling says she even enjoys menial chores such as changing her bedsheets after havig her life turned upside down by rare neurological disorder.
Jenny Davies, 45, of Thame, was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia around 10 years ago when she began to suffer dizziness and falls.
Now her family is raising funds for research into her condition, with a cycle ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End.
Since diagnosis, the progressive condition has left Ms Davies with difficulties involving mobility, stability, tremors and fatigue. She has also experienced sight and speech problems and often suffers pain.
Ms Davies says she would like to speak to anyone having difficulties with ataxia. Email jensaldav@yahoo.co.uk
Her brother-in-law Leigh Hatton is cycling more than 1,000 miles for Ataxia UK, for research into the condition. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/leigh-hatton
