Bucks Ladies managed their best ever result at the Aegon Summer County Cup when they finished runners-up to Herts.
The Eastbourne tournament saw the Bucks team, which is made up entirely of current or former Haltonplayers, beat last year’s winners Lancashire before comfortably seeing off Hampshire.
Highly-rated Surrey were their next victims but Herts, also on four wins like Bucks, proved too strong winning 5-0 and taking the cup.
With four wins out of five, it was a fine team effort from Jemima Hayward, Julia Bone, Helen Lawson, Claire Hamilton, Lereesa Easterbrook, Celia Cornforth, team player award winner Tor Pisani, Kathryn Sharples and Helen Hales.
