The Grendon Festival will now take place on Friday, September 7 and Saturday 8 – with organisers announcing they are extremely proud of their revised line up of Adele, Kasabian and Oasis tribute acts.
It was originally planned for June when a record crowd of 4,000 was expected through the gates. But a few days before heavy rain flooded the site off Grendon Broadway, forcing it to be postponed.
In 2010 the not-for-profit festival raised £11,000 for the Florence Nightingale Hospice.
Reflecting on the revised line up, festival spokesman David Evans said: “We looked long and hard and wanted something that was reasonably current and modern and really popular and would appeal to all ages.”
“So many events this summer have fallen prey to the weather and so many people have given up trying. But so many people had bought tickets that I didn’t want to let them down.”
