Hats off to Jean’s new raceday accessory!

The Florence Nightingale Hospice is offering a hat-hiring service to people taking part in the charity’s annual visit to the races.

Jean Campbell, from Aylesbury, has generously offered a selection of handmade hats for ladies taking part in the day at Royal Ascot in June.

Twenty hats are available in the Flowers, Feathers and Twizzles range, in a variety of sizes, with all proceeds going to the hospice.

Jean, 72, said: “My interest in hat-making started two years ago when I went to Royal Ascot to celebrate my 70th birthday.

“I decided to make a hat to go with my outfit and that was when my interest started.”

The hospice’s visit to the races will take place on Wednesday June 18.

Entry is available to either the Silver Ring for £50 or the Grandstand for £90.

Transport is provided, with pick-up points in both Aylesbury and Bedgrove.

For more details about tickets or hat hire contact the hospice’s fundraising office on 01296 429975.

Guests are encouraged to book early as places are limited.
