Aylesbury’s football teams will join the nationwide tribute to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster this weekend.
In conjunction with matches across England, Aylesbury United’s trip to Royston Town and Aylesbury FC’s home game with Barton Rovers will both kick-off at 3.07pm on Saturday.
The decision has been taken to mark 25 years since 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives after a crush on the terraces at the start of their FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest.
A minute’s silence will be held at 3.06pm, the time the Liverpool v Nottingham Forest tie was abandoned, just before the start of the matches at both Garden Walk and Haywood Way.
