Eight men have been arrested and more than £10,000 cash and two stun guns seized during police raids across Aylesbury.

Class A and B drugs, including cannabis, were also seized during Operation Armageddon, which saw 10 homes raided from 6am today (Tuesday).

The eight men in custody range in age between late teens to mid 30s and were held on suspicion of various offences, including money laundering, possession of a firearm and conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.

The operation, which was six months in the planning, comes on the back of last year’s Operation Sideline, Aylesbury’s biggest ever drugs raids which saw 40 people arrested.

Police warned criminals there may be further raids following Armageddon.

Local area commander, Supt Olly Wright, said: “The raids ranged from doors being forced open and there were a couple of addresses where there were children and officers take care about the way they went in.

“We want to send a very strong message out to people who cause the most serious harm in our communities.

“Drug dealers in Aylesbury need to watch out.

“We know that the supply of controlled drugs feeds other criminal activity, including burglary, other thefts and violence, so we are determined to bring to justice those involved as part of our strategy to reduce crime and protect communities from serious harm.”
