Aylesbury FC finally brought an end to their eight-game winless streak with a 7-0 thumping of Woodford United on Tuesday night.
Woodford are yet to win in Division One Central this season and that statistic never looked like changing as Stuart Bryant crashed a 20-yard drive in for the opener, writes Jools Thomas.
One soon became two as Sonny French finished off some beautiful link up play with Brian Haule.
FC were guilty of being wasteful as they headed into the break only 2-0 up.
But with boss Craig Faulconbridge demanding a more clinical edge.
His call was heeded as just two minutes in Luke Abraham took down Max Farrelly’s cross to slot pass the keeper.
Lamar Simpson quickly added another as he sublimely lobbed the keeper to make it 4-0.
Simpson’s next strike was the polar opposite as he bundled the ball in at the back post after good work on the right.
Just as Woodford have struggled all season they continued to fall apart when Brian Haule danced into the box and after miscuing his shot, received a second opportunity from which he made no mistake firing in low from close range.
The final goal came on 83 minutes when Haule gratefully pounced from close range to complete the victory.
FC keeper Simeon Charles had a quiet night and decided to go walkabout at one point but it went unpunished.
