Eat out at restaurants in Oxfordshire and help get hunger off the table.
During October restaurants in Oxfordshire are joining forces with the UK foodie fraternity to support Action Against Hunger’s Love Food Give Food appeal, which calls on food lovers nationwide to help raise funds to provide malnourished children with the nutrition they need to grow, learn and develop.
This year, Love Food Give Food is set to be bigger than ever, as the UK Government will match pound for pound all public donations in support of the appeal. There’s never been a better incentive to eat out at participating restaurants, as thanks to the UK Aid Match a contribution from you can go even further in helping save the lives and build healthier futures for malnourished children around the world – giving a helping hand to those who need it most.
There are many ways to get involved. Hundreds of restaurants across the nation, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Wild Thyme Restaurant, amongst others are supporting Love Food Give Food by giving customers the opportunity to add a small donation to their bill or offering certain dishes where a percentage of the cost goes to Action Against Hunger.
Or alternatively, if you’re an enthusiastic amateur inspired by the culinary clique, Action Against Hunger is calling on you to get involved on the 16th October for World Food Day and host your own foodie feast from the comfort of your own home. Don’t worry if this is your first dinner party - all you have to do is sign up at www.lovefoodgivefood.org and take your pick from a range of outstanding recipes from celebrity chefs and get some hints, tips and templates on how to make your event a success.
So if you love food, be part of it and help get child hunger off the table. For more information on Love Food Give Food, a full list of participating restaurants, please visit www.lovefoodgivefood.org
