The annual Chinnor Beer Festival is back for the fifth time, complete with 30 local ales and eight local ciders.
The day at the village’s playing fields will begin at noon, running into the evening until around 8pm.
Up to 1,000 people are expected to attend the charity event taking place on August 25, where there will be real ale and cider bars, a Pimms bar, a barbecue during the day and Indian cuisine from 5.30pm.
The day will also see a free ‘kids zone’ provided, complete with games, toys facepainting and a magician.
There will also be several local bands and musicians playing on the day, including Chinnor-based Muttz Knuttz and Tori Bird.
Hayley Gardner is on the team of volunteers who organise the event, annually raising funds for local causes.
“We’re really excited about the festival,” she said.
“We’re just getting everything together at the moment, and it all seems to be falling into place nicely. We’re just hoping the weather will be nice now, although there’ll be marquees so it should be fine.”
Over the past four years, the beer festival volunteer team has raised more than £15,000, and expects it will rake in around £3,000 this year.
So far the funds have gone towards professional coaching for two national standard badminton players, equipment for the Friday night youth club, new gazebos for Mill Lane School’s fetes and a new sports uniform Thame Air Cadets.
