Aston Clinton F1 star Mark Webber is hoping to close on championship leader Lewis Hamilton with a ‘repeat performance’ of last year’s podium at the European Grand Prix in Valencia on Sunday.
It will be the second Spanish race in little more than a month.
And Webber hopes his preference of ‘street tracks’ will bode well this weekend.
He said: “You can get away with a lot more than at somewhere like Monaco.
“The layout is impressively repetitive, with lots of second and third-gear corners.
“But at least the last sector is quite enjoyable because it’s fast and flowing.
“I had a good race in Valencia last year, starting on the front row of the grid and coming home on the podium. I’ll be looking for more of that this time around.”
