FOLLOWING the article in last week’s Thame Gazette regarding the time extension to Sainsbury’s planning application to build a supermarket in Thame, Don Butler, chairman of the town council’s planning committee, would like to clarify the quotes he gave.
Mr Butler was keen to stress to Gazette readers that his quotes within the story should have read: “... a lot of people say we have enough supermarkets around here,” rather than “... a lot of people are unhappy that we have no supermarkets around here.”
This error was due to a misunderstanding.
