Two brothers have been jailed for a combined total of nine years for 24 burglaries, including offences in Aylesbury and Thame.
Scott Blundell, 23, of Tower Field Square, Northampton, was jailed for a total of five years and four months after pleading guilty to one charge of conspiracy which included 19 separate burglaries.
His brother Jack, 21, of Windsor Crescent, Harrow, was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to one charge of conspiracy which included 14 separate burglaries.
The pair were arrested following burglaries in Aylesbury, Thame and other areas across the south of England.
The conspiracy charge included four offences in Aylesbury on Sunday March 2 at addresses in Edward Close, Diane Close, Charmfield Road and Charles Close as well as five offences in Thame on Tuesday March 4 - one in Hazelrig Drive, three in Henrietta Road and one in Overton Drive.
The brothers were also charged with five burglaries in Berkshire and ten in Hampshire.
They were sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday July 11 after pleading guilty to a conspiracy to burgle charge during an earlier court hearing.
All the burglaries were committed overnight, and involved the brothers targeting insecure front doors.
PC Michael Sharp, the officer involved in the operation said: “I am pleased with the sentencing, which should act as a deterrent to anyone wishing to engage in such criminality.
“The pair have been on remand ever since their arrest and will now be going back to prison to serve lengthy sentences.”
