Spandau Ballet lead singer Tony Hadley is lending his support to Aylesbury Relay for Life taking place at Aylesbury Rugby Club this weekend.
The 80s star, who lives locally, will be popping in at 2pm today (Saturday).
The annual 24 hour relay, which starts at noon, sees teams (many in fancy dress) lap a walking track around the clock for 24 hours.
Since its launch in 2009 the Aylesbury relay has raised £230,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Aylesbury relay committee member Paula Watson said: “We are thrilled that Tony is supportung the relay and look forward to welcoming him and his family to what is an amazing event.”
The relay provides a fun day out with stalls, music, food and a funfair. As night falls a moving Candle of Hope ceremony is held.
