A THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD Aylesbury High School pupil is set to compete in the English Alpine Championships.
Anna Henderson, of Edlesborough, will be flying out to Bormio, Italy, to take part in competition from February 10 to 17.
He has been selected selected for the GB Children’s Team for 2011-12 and has competed in Italy, France, Switzerland and Austria.
She said: “I always look forward to Bormio and the English Champs. The skiing is excellent and I love the resort.
“The atmosphere is great and this really encourages me to ski at my best.”
The championships, consisting of seven events, will attract more than 500 young racers from regions all over England.
Henderson, a member of Ambition, Hemel, Kanderhar and Ski MK Race Clubs started having ski lessons at the age of three at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead, and soon discovered she loved it and wanted to take it further, joining a race club at the age of six and has never looked back.
Hundreds of future skiing stars will descend upon the snow in Bormio, Italy for the event.
