AYLESBURY’S top boxer has welcomed news that his latest fight has been pushed back a week by saying it gives him an extra seven days of hard training.
Nathan Graham was due to take to the ring in the Hard Knocks fight in Bethnal Green on March 17 but due to circumstances outside his control the date has been delayed a week.
“The way I see it is it’s another week’s hard work that I can put in.
“My training schedule has been unbelievable.
“Some of the new styles I have been working on have started looking really good.”
Although Graham doesn’t know he will be facing in the Hard Knocks fight he has already admitted that time is running out for him to make it into the big time.
“I’ve said before that this is going to be a busy year.
“I’m not getting any younger and if I can’t make it in boxing I will need to start thinking about a different way of life.”
If the former Mandeville School pupil wins his fight in March he will then have to fight and win again before standing a chance of being offered another title fight.
“I’m confident that I’m going to win whoever I face.
“This is serious business for me now and I’ve never been more ready for a fight in my life.”
