A beer expert is coming to an Aylesbury pub to host a free event allowing people to taste a wide range of ales.
The Old Millwrights Arms, on Walton Road, is hosting an evening with the brewery team from Greene King on Wednesday April 16.
Beer expert Chris Holliday from the Suffolk-based pub owners will host the event which starts at 8pm.
It gives customers a chance to taste the wide range of cask ales on tap and ask questions about the secret to good brewing.
The pub will also serve complimentary canapés, made from locally-sourced ingredients.
Matt Clarke, who has recently taken over at the pub said: “It is an absolute pleasure to welcome Chris to the Old Millwrights Arms for the first time.
“We are very proud of the wide range of cask ales we serve and it will be a real treat for everyone to learn more about brewing, and, very importantly, tasting real ale.”
The range of cask ale at the pub has included Rebellion Smuggler from Marlow brewery, Guardsman from Windsor & Eton brewery and Side Pocket from Tring brewery.
Chris said: “I am very much looking forward to making the trip from Bury St Edmunds to Aylesbury.
“I am, of course, extremely passionate about real ale and it is a genuine pleasure for me to spend an evening in such a lovely pub, talking about it and drinking it!”
Business unit director for Greene King pub partners Clive Chesser said: “I am confident that people in Aylesbury will have a great time listening to Chris and tasting the great beers on tap at the Old Millwrights Arms.
“Chris’s passion and knowledge for cask ale is second to none and his enthusiasm is infectious.”
