A retired Stoke Mandeville doctor charged with raping a child and indecent assault has appeared in court.
Dr Michael Salmon, 78, is alleged to have carried out the offences against four victims from 1972 to 1985 at hospitals in the Aylesbury area, including Stoke Mandeville.
The charges stem from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Operation Yewtree, which was set up following the Jimmy Savile allegations.
Dr Salmon appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court yesterday for a preliminary hearing.
He is next due in court on April 7, when he is expected to enter a plea.
