The annual finals day at Thame Tennis Club ended up becoming a real family affair on Sunday afternoon.
The ladies competition was dominated by twins Roos and Noor Bruggink. They combined in the ladies doubles to beat Helena Richards and Nikki Jackson in two tight sets 6-3 6-4.
Meanwhile, in the ladies singles final the Bruggink twins came face-to-face with Noor overcoming Roos 6-3 6-1. The mens singles trophy was won by Joel Morris for the fourth consecutive year. This year he overcame Nigel King 6-4 6-3 in a competitive match.
The mens doubles final also included a family connection as Joel was joined by his dad, Daniel Morris. After losing the first set the Morris team came from behind to win 3-6 6-2 6-3 against Mark Wilkins and Dave Withendon. In the first match of the day Dave Withendon was on the winning side as he teamed up with Jennie McCloud to win the mixed doubles trophy 6-0 6-3 against Marek Wojitan and Anne Terry.
