Thame’s post office is to be closed for four days while ‘extensive’ refurbishment takes place.
The facility, located at the rear of Martins in the High Street, will be closed from 5.30pm on September 16 until 1pm on September 20.
Once the changes are made, there will be longer opening hours, a more ‘open plan environment’ in the branch and some Post Office services will be available at the retail counter outside main counter times.
The branch will continue to offer the same services it does now.
The refurbishment is part of a three-year Royal Mail investment programme.
Royal Mail hopes the changes will ‘create a more modern and convenient retail experience for customers’.
While the work takes place, alternative Post Office branches can be found in Long Crendon and Tiddington.
