A shop selling all the items your child needs has opened in Stoke Mandeville.
The shop called “Just for Kids” has been open for just over a week at its home in Layby Farm Business Park behind The Bucks Goat Centre.
The shop stocks a range of new and pre-owned children’s clothes, toys and accessories.
It is the brainchild of 47-year-old Aylesbury woman Alison Spencer.
She said: “I will be selling items for children aged from 0 right up to 16, whether they be clothes, toys or accessories.
“Toys that are proving popular include remote-controlled helicopters and cars.
“Among the accessories for sale are clothes and bedding.
“Half of the shop is new items and the other half is pre-owned items.
“Hopefully, there will be something there for everyone.”
The shop is located on the route for the 300 bus, which runs from High Wycombe to Aylesbury via Stoke Mandeville every 20 minutes.
There is also free car parking outside the shop.
Alison said that although she was always interested in such a venture, she did not have a background in retail.
She said: “I worked as a carer for 10 years while I bought my children up, and prior to that I worked as a secretary.
“This is always something I’ve wanted to do, though, and I haven’t had any regrets so far!”
Alison added that her advice to anybody thinking of setting up a business was to go for it.
She said: “I figured that if I didn’t do it now then I never would.
“I did it with the support of my husband and a friend from Luton and it was fairly straightforward, and I hope it will prove very rewarding.”
