Chance to influence health priorities

A health authority meeting which sets out priorities in the Vale takes place later this month.

The meeting of the Aylesbury Vale Clinical Commissioning Group on Thursday, September 12 between 10.30am and 12.30pm at Aylesbury Vale District Council Offices in Gatehouse Road.

People will have the opportunity for 10 minutes at the start of the meeting to ask governing body members questions about agenda items and health priorities. The public can also submit questions in advance by post and via email at: avccg.feedback@nhs.net or {http://www.aylesburyvaleccg.nhs.uk/about-us/governing-body-meetings|here|link to external website}

The meeting will feature a report that includes the progress being made to implement the recommendations of the Keogh Review, which slammed hospital care in Bucks

There will also be a chief officer’s report together with financial, performance and activity reports.

Lou Patten, chief officer at Aylesbury Vale CCG, said: “We wish to actively encourage the public to attend our meetings to help them find out more about the type of high quality local health services we are commissioning on their behalf.

“Involving local people in the decisions we make is important which is why they will have a chance at the meeting to ask us about our local health priorities.”
