Two crashes put Aylesbury outskirts in a jam

Two crashes within a mile of eachother have caused traffic problems on the outskirts of Aylesbury this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Bishopstone Road at 1.07pm after a car crashed off the road.

A woman in her 80s was taken to hospital for an X-ray after suffering chest injuries.

The road was completely blocked until 3.26pm.

And at 2.49pm a two cars and a van were involved in a pile-up on the A418 in Hartwell, between the Bugle Horn pub and the Fairford Leys roundabout.

No-one was injured.

The road is still partially blocked and causing tailbacks, although it is hoped recovery vehicles will be on the scene within the next hour.
