Chief sets policing aims for Thames Valley

The police and crime commissioner has set out his priorities for his time in office.

Anthony Stansfeld highlighted six aims in his police and crime plan, which sets out priorities and objectives and how he will deliver them.

The priorities set out are: cutting crimes that are of most concern to the public and protecting vulnerable people; maintain the number of bobbies on the beat; protect people from organised crime and terrorism; communicate and engage with the public to help cut crime and build confidence; work with other parts of the criminal justice system and ensure services are delivered effectively and efficiently.

The plan also sets out the resources for policing.

Mr Stansfeld, elected in November, said: “I am committed to working closely with the chief constable and other partners to ensure that the Thames Valley remains a safe place to live and work and that we continue to build on the already impressive reductions in crime and improved detection rates.”
