A Thame couple brought together by an assistance dogs charity have thanked everyone who voted for their furry friends in a prestigious Crufts competition.
Max and Ziggy have helped turn the lives of Sue and Byron Harvey around and were among five finalists in the Friends for Life competition.
The competition was won by three-legged dog Haatchi, but Mrs Harvey said they still felt like winners as they took home a cheque for £750 for Oxfordshire charity Dogs for the Disabled.
The couple and their guide dogs were paraded at Birmingham’s NEC and interviewed by Clare Balding as part of being finalists.
Mrs Harvey said: “It was an amazing time and a wonderful experience.
“We would just like to thank everyone who voted.”
