People have been warned to be extra vigilant after two properties in the Vale were victims of attempted burglaries.

Between 2pm and 9.45pm on Wednesday a property on Rowland Way, Aylesbury, was broken into through a conservatory window and some cash was stolen.

Another burglary between December 19 and 20 happened on Ditchingham Close.

The offender unsuccessfully tried to force their way in through the back door.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: “Please be vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.

“If you can, please provide a description of anyone along with details of any vehicle, especially the registration number.

“Make sure your property is secure when you are out.

“And consider using a light on a timer switch.

“It can help to make it look like someone is home, especially if you are returning after dark.”

If you have any information call the 24 hour police enquiry centre on 101.

Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
