Volunteers are staging a series of short walks over the festive period to help Bucks families make the most of the countryside.
The free walks leave from places such as Wendover and Aylesbury’s Bedgrove.
Patricia Birchley, Bucks County Council’s cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “Walking is a fantastic way to get out and about, meet new people, improve your health and experience the stunning countryside in Buckinghamshire up close.
“All new walkers are welcome to join the scheme.
“Whether you are currently fit and active, or haven’t exercised in a long time, it could not be easier to get started.”
The council’s Simply Walks scheme operates throughout the year. Each week there are around 50 walks, which attract a combined total of 2,000 walkers.
