A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries as a result of a crash on Monday night.
The incident happened on the northbound carriageway of the M40 between the Thame and Oxford junctions.
Paramedics were called to the scene after a vehicle left the carriageway and came to rest upside down in a ditch and one lane of the motorway was closed while emergency services also helped an elderly woman from the car.
