A CHILD star has been nominated for a BAFTA for her voice-over role in Peppa Pig.
Harley Bird, nine, who is a member of Chinnor RFC Thame, took over the role of the children’s show character three-and-a-half years ago after joining acting agency Alphabet Kidz.
And in recognition of the role, Harley, whose sister Olivia is starring in Rev on Wednesday nights, has now been narrowed down to the top four nominees in the performers’ category of the children’s awards.
“It’s so exciting – we can’t wait,” said her mum Gill Riley, boss at Long Crendon company GGR.
“It’s fantastic news, although I don’t think Harley quite realises just how big it is.
“We’re going to the ceremony and Harley’s more excited about seeing JLS there – but who can blame her?”
The awards are on Sunday in London.
