Residents in the southern half of Oxfordshire have been named as the top recyclers in Great Britain, according to government figures.
South Oxfordshire, which has a recycling rate of 67.9%, came second in the UK only to neighbouring district the Vale of White Horse.
David Dodds, cabinet member for waste at South Oxfordshire District Council, said: “We want to thank all of our residents for their exceptional dedication to recycling.”
