The site manager at a Thame secondary school has described how upset she is after equipment worth about £20,000 was stolen at the weekend.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a shed was broken into at Lord Williams’s School and a Kubota tractor, ride on mower and gardening tools were taken.
The incident is believed to have taken place on Sunday night.
Amanda Sturdy said the school estimated the equipment cost £20,000.
She said: “That doesn’t take into the consideration the time factor, though, such as getting the police in.
“Most people take it quite personally at the school. To arrive on the Monday and have no equipment is quite harsh.
“The personal cost is quite high. I believe there has been quite a few in the area.
“It’s frustrating and time consuming. The police have been very good though.”
Ms Sturdy added she was sure the incident occurred on the Sunday evening due to CCTV cameras being damaged on the school site.
Thames Valley Police is asking anyone who saw any suspicious-looking people or vehicles in the area to call 101.
