Thame Town’s Firsts were well beaten by Wycwood in a game which was vital to both sides at the bottom of the Division Two West table.
Put in to bat, the home side were soon in trouble, losing Jesal Rathod and James Neilsen to Brain’s seamers.
Only youngster Will Sutcliffe, in his second game of the season in the first team, put up any resistance in the middle order, and Thame struggled to 78 for 7 at lunch.
When Seetal Patel was stumped off Jason Hunt it was left to Ed Barnett to help Thame past 100, but he was out for 40 as Thame finished on 103 after 48 overs.
Excellent bowling from Charlie Brain(4 for 16 off 11) and George Seacole (2 for 14 off 7) left Shipton with the relatively easy task of scoring 104, which they did for the loss of two wickets.
Skipper Simon Hole was 54 not out at the close. This result means Shipton leapfrog over Thame at the bottom of the Div 2 West table.
Elsewhere, the seconds continued their good form with an away win at Banbury fourths. Bowling Banbury out for 158, with Ian McStay and Cian Davies taking four and three wickets respectively, the visitors eased home by two wickets. Richard Carr top scored with 40 not out.
The Third XI got back to winning ways with a comprehensive home win against Dinton Thirds.
