Zen Hair Design customer Hannah Collins was presented with vouchers from Oxfordshire Distrct Council as part of Thame’s twist on the American holiday Independence Day.
Independent retailers across Thame gathered on July 4 to celebrate.Independents’ Day was launched nationally to celebrate the diversity of shops. Customers were also encouraged to take a picture of a purchase they had made and upload it to Twitter saying where they had bought it.
The best picture was selected with Hannah Collins receiving a £20 gift voucher for a photo of herself with a hair product she had bought from Zen Hair Design.
Throughout the day, pictures from shops Bizzie Lizzie, Shoe Care and others appeared on the social networking site.
