Thame’s cricketers grind out draw while Dinton are riding high at league summit

Vandit Jivrajani was the star with 38 (not out) for Thame when they managed a draw at bottom side Farnham Royal at the weekend.

A total of 257-6 by the home side proved to be too high a total for Thame to chase in their 50 overs.

Other than Jivrajani, Jesal Rathod (14), James Neilson (28), Pratik Patel (26) and Manoj Parmar (15) were the main contributors for Thame as they put on 163-7 from their 50 overs. In reply, Farnham made 257-6, Pratik Patel with his medium pace swing returned reasonable figures with 2-43 off 16 overs.

Elsewhere, Dinton moved 13 points clear at the top of the same division with an impressive win over Gerrards Cross at the weekend.

The highlights of the day were undoubtedly a five-wicket haul from Faisal Ali and 102 from captain, Mike Sutliff.

The results leave Dinton clear of local rivals Aston Rowant, who they travel to play in a juicy clash top of the table clash at the weekend.
