People in Thame hoping to catch a glimpse of the Olympic torch will have to travel to either Oxford or Aylesbury on Monday.

While the torch relay will not visit Thame, there will be the opportunity to see the flame on either Monday morning or evening.

On Monday, the torch will arrive at Aylesbury at 11.15am before making its way to Stoke Mandeville for 11.54am.

The other option for Thame residents is to visit neighbouring Oxford on Monday night.

At 5.17pm on Monday the flame will be at its closest to Thame when it arrives in Oxford before making an appearance at the BMW-Mini Plant site on Horspath Road shortly afterwards.

The flame will depart the site at 5.34pm out of gate one and on to the B480 Watlington Road, before continuing its journey around Oxford.

The times provided are only a rough guide as there could be delays and traffic congestion.
