Three cheers for beer at Haddenham

Haddenham’s Real Ale Festival fundraiser is expected to see more than 2,500 people attend next Saturday.

The festival, which is one of the largest in Britian will take place at Haddenham Community Junior School.

This year’s summer festival will be the ninth run by registered charity Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust which has raised more than £100,000 to date.

There will be 80 barrels of ale on offer, as well as a large selection of lagers, ciders, wine and Pimms available.

This year, in response to the increasing popularity of the event, the festival will feature an additional external bar serving only ales from the area.

Nicholas Moore, one of the trustees, said: “We’re really excited about this year’s festival. It should be one of our biggest yet. This year we have a large external bar with the best beers the local area has to offer.

“We’ve also got loads of food and other attractions including a bouncy castle. It’s always a great day out for the whole family.”

Doors open at 11am with the last entry at 6pm, depending on beer stocks.

Tickets are £6 on the door or £5 in advance from a variety of sellers.
