YOUNGSTERS are busy putting the final touches to a series of one act plays, which are being performed next weekend.
Haddenham Youth Theatre’s juniors will perform pirate story Captain Blackboot’s Island and the seniors will stage The Secret of Madame Defarge – an unusual slant on Dickens’ A Tale of Two Cities.
Lynne Colley, director of Haddenham Youth Theatre, said: “Both groups have been working very hard this year and we are really looking forward to presenting their plays. In January this year we played to packed houses and received such enthusiastic feedback it was fantastic.
“We have some wonderfully talented actors in our group and it was thrilling for them to play to such appreciative audiences.”
The two stories will be staged on June 29-30 at Haddenham Community Junior School. Tickets are £6 for adults £4 for under 16s and available from 01844 291918.
