THIEVES climbed through the roof of Halton Post Office and stole money and cigarettes during a midnight raid.
It took place on Wednesday at the site on Rowborough Road, when thieves smashed their way through ceiling tiles and into the premises.
The offenders targeted the cigarette cabinet and forced it open with a crowbar before stealing a large quantity of cigarettes.
A till containing an undisclosed amount of cash was also taken.
PC Claire Kitchener, based at Aylesbury police station, said “I am appealing for anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously around the post office at or around the time of the incident to come forward.”
