Aylesbury FC physio Liz Carson will be at this summer’s London Olympics after being selected as part of a medical team to assist the beach volleyball teams.
The popular physio, who runs her own successful chiropractic and sports injury clinic in Haddenham, joined the club two years ago bringing with her a wealth of experience in treating elite athletes.
She has been chosen for the Olympic doctors team and will get the once in a lifetime chance to experience the buzz of the Games from the frontline.
FC chairman Danny Martone said: “To achieve this we need talented support staff and Liz is an example of the quality we want to attract and keep at the club. Liz is very much a part of the management team here and we are extremely proud to have such highly qualified medical support, I doubt many teams at our level or above can match it.”
Liz, who will be heading off to the Olympics at the end of the season to provide support to the beach volleyball teams, said: “I’m delighted; FICS is comprised of national chiropractic sports councils worldwide and has affiliations with international organisations within the world of sports, to be a member is very special.”
