THE VALE will be an area of ‘entrepreneurial excellence’, on a national and international stage by 2026.
This is according to Aylesbury Vale District Council’s vision for the area, set to be discussed by cabinet members this Tuesday.
The report describes the Vale as having a very strong urban economy, with the creation of new jobs in Aylesbury, and a strong rural economy, spreading as far as Haddneham, Winslow and Wendover.
This will also be aided as a result of the new ‘state-of-the-art’ Enterprise Zone in Aylesbury, where many of the students graduating from the Enterprise Academy are ‘successfully starting their first business ventures’.
The economy will, it claims, also have been helped by the new ‘superfast broadband’.
The report also envisages a growth in servicing industries, with a ‘major international company’ establishing its European depot on the A41, as a result of its near location to Heathrow and the opening of East-West Rail.
The A41 will have an established ‘knowledge park’ too, it claims.
“There is a buzz about the Vale,” says the ‘vision’.
“That is recognised as a growing and self-confident area.”
The Vale will also have won accolades and a national reputation three years in a row for its visitor centres and attractions.
The report does however not appear to have envisaged HS2 to have been built, as it refers to ‘unspoilt’ Chiltern countryside.
