HADDENHAM’S winter beer festival was its usual great success last weekend as hundreds of people turned up to sample the beer, ciders and produce on offer.
Called the Winterfest the day is a Christmas themed event organised by Haddenham Beer Festival Trust with all profits going to nearby causes.
As always the Haddenham Mummers were one of the highlights as they put on their traditional play about Richard the Lionheart and the Turkish Knight. The unusual history of the Mummers dates back to medieval times where the actors would paint their faces black to disguise themselves.
The fun lasted throughout the afternoon with plenty to see and do including Christmas stalls, live music and a hot barbecue.
The Winterfest is run by the Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust.
