AYLESBURY Dux basketball team comprehensively beat Hatfield Magic 106-55 to go within touching distance of winning the league.
The first quarter saw Aylesbury get off to a slow start and the score-line suggested a close game, albeit a physical one, as the flow of the game was constantly interrupted by the referee’s whistle.
At the break Aylesbury made a tactical change and came out for the second quarter with a different shape which Hatfield struggled to cope with and suddenly the Dux were racking up the points.
The final two quarters saw Hatfield’s frustration boil over and as they lost their discipline they lost any chance of hanging onto a respectable score-line.
The Dux play home games and hold training sessions at Aylesbury High School Sports Hall, Walton Road.
The Dux’s next game is away to Ware Wolves, on Sunday March 11.
The next training session on Sunday, March 4, from 6pm to 8pm.
Aylesbury Dux are always looking to add new players to their squad, and welcome anyone who is interested.
