Thame Rangers completed a stunning quadruple in their very first season after they were crowned Oxfordshire County champions thanks to a 1-0 win over Thame United Reserves.
Played at the ASM Stadium, Rangers gradually seized control against United with Gwilliam striking the post before skipper Shayne Almond converted a penalty after Ryan Binnee’s jinking run into the box had been illegally halted.
That put Thame ahead at half-time before a more even second-half ensured, however neither side could add to the scoreline and Rangers held on for a famous win to put the gloss on a remarkable debut season.
