I would like to express my delight at the VE Day 70th Anniversary concert given by the Friends of the Day Centre and the Thame Concert Band on Saturday evening (18th) in St. Mary’s, Thame.
What a magnificent performance by all concerned.
Excellent solos and choral group performances, and excellent playing by the Thame Concert Band under the direction of Roger Hewitt, who also gave us informative introductions to the pieces played - it is wonderful to have such a good band in Thame.
Also two comic historical poems were enjoyed by all.
A very enjoyable evening - may we have more of these, please!.
