Thame United secured a club record 11th consecutive league victory on Saturday with a comfortable 2-0 home win over Oxford City Nomads.
Manager Mark West made a couple of changes to his starting line-up with goalkeeper Matt Tapping making his first team debut while Conor McDonagh returned up front.
And it was United who were quickest out of the blocks with an Adam Morris free-kick from 25 yards going just wide after two minutes.
The Nomads, who looked to play the ball out from the back, were unable to get into the game and United again went close when, on 9 minutes, a delightful cross from Ben Gray was met by Dan West, whose glancing headed sailed narrowly wide.
The visitors then started to press for the first time but they struggled to test debutant Tapping before United trio McDonagh, West and Morris all combined to almost break the deadlock on 20 minutes.
Thame needed just four more minutes to finally breakthrough as the visiting defence failed to clear and the ball fell to Morris, whose powerful drive from the edge of the area found the net.
While the Nomads saw more of the ball, they were still unable to penetrate a resolute home defence and before the first half was over, both McDonagh and Gray went close to extending the Thame lead.
United started the second half the stronger of the two sides, but Tapping was called into action for the first time when he acrobatically pushed over an effort from 25 yards.
Ellis Hercules then had a header cleared off the line from a Luke Ricketts corner before, on 57 minutes, West saw an effort deflected wide.
Midway through the half, Dan Jones replaced Gray and not long later, it was 2-0 as West capitalised on a defensive error before calmly placing the ball beyond the keeper.
It was nearly 3-0 on 78 minutes when McDonagh, through on goal, saw his shot shave the outside of the post before substitute Niall Hodgkins played through Ricketts, whose effort cleared the bar.
West also went close late on as Thame comfortably closed out a fully deserved victory.
United are up to third in the Hellenic Premier Division ahead of a home game against Ardley United this Saturday.
