Pupils and parents from two Haddenham schools have highlighted the danger of the main road outside the buildings through a ‘Walk to School event.’
The event was part of an ongoing campaign to have a pedestrian crossing built in Woodways outside the community junior and infant schools.
Pupils wore zebra masks and carried messages of support for the crossing, while parents carried a zebra crossing banner.
PCSO Suzan Jones acted as pedestrian controller for the day stopping traffic to allow children to cross.
Parent Emma Lister said she wished ‘it could be as safe as this for children every day.’
