PLANNING consultants engaged by Thame Town Council are currently working on the production of a draft neighbourhood plan for the town.
This should be ready by the end of March 2012.
As part of the development of the plan, the council will be employing a consultant to assess the need and viability of a community building for Thame.
Such a facility has been the long-standing aspiration of some groups in the town but no study has been made of precisely the size of the building required and what the financial implications would be.
No specific location will be considered at this stage. If appropriate the next stage will be to look at possible sites.
The consultant’s findings will be presented to full council on April 3.
