What do you wish they’d taught you at school, but didn’t?
Women earn less than men. (I was educated pre-Equal Opportunities Act!)
Ignore what you’re doing now - if you could do any job in the world, what would it be?
Archeologist and historian. I have always been fascinated by Greek and Roman history. The religion, the culture, the power, but never understood their decline.
Of all the places you’ve been in your life, which would you recommend to a stranger?
Place - Llanwyrtyd Wells. The smallest town in Wales. Country - New Zealand. I went there in September to travel, meet old friends and watch the Rugby World Cup. Magnificent extremes of scenery.
If you could pass one new law tomorrow, what would it be and why?
To keep legislation more simple!
You can invite three people – living or dead, from any period – round for dinner. Who are they and why?
My two grandads who I never knew. Emmeline Pankhurst, British women’s rights activist.
If you were stuck on Death Row, what would you pick for your final meal?
Roast rib of beef and lots of fresh veg. Syrup sponge and custard.
And if you could write your own epitaph or come up with famous last words in advance, what would you pick?
I haven’t finished yet.
If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
Teleporting. I would love to do so much more if it wasn’t for the travelling, especially coming home.
How do you relax? Listen to music and dance. I can get lost in music, and hear it from within my soul. Music can reflect every mood, it can calm the most angry moment.
What’s your greatest fear? Losing my children – they are the reason for my existence.
What was the last little treat you bought for yourself, or someone else? I bought myself a personalised car number plate. I want to be recognised!
If you had to give up something tomorrow, what would you find it hardest to live without?
Music. Best friends. My boys. My cats.
What’s the most important lesson that life has taught you so far?
Enduring the hard times makes the good times more pleasurable, and that Mother Nature is awesome.
