A former Thame resident is giving people the chance to go on a once in a lifetime trip to help save wild tigers.
Simon Clinton, who grew up in the town and now lives in nearby Aston Rowant, is organising a trip through South East Asia later this year to raise money for his charity, Save Wild Tigers.
People who buy tickets for the trip would spend five days on the Eastern and Oriental Tiger Express, with a range of entertainment and experiences along the way.
Mr Clinton said: “I am thrilled to be announcing details of this exciting and exclusive trip all in aid of the wild tiger. To gain local support for this charity initiative would be the icing on the cake.
“We look forward to revealing more exciting plans throughout the year.”
Running from October 2 to 6, the trip would start in Singapore before guests board the train and travel up through Malaysia to Kuala Lumpur. They will then mix with royalty, ambassadors and international celebrities at a drinks reception and black tie Save Wild Tigers gala dinner. The train will then head to Penang, the River Kwai and Bangkok.
The charity was set up two and a half years ago, with profits going to tiger conservation charities including the Born Free Foundation and the Environmental Investigation Agency.
