Tring Athletic welcome League One side Stevenage to The Grass Roots Stadium tonight as they look to pull off a Hertfordshire Senior Challenge Cup giant-killing.

Tonight’s clash will be the first time that Stevenage have played at Tring, and the fixture looks set to attract a decent crowd.

Stevenage go into the game as strong favourites, although they will rest the majority of the side that played in their 3-1 defeat at Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Tring come into the clash on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Hanwell Town, although Julian Robinson’s side put in a spirited display against the SSML Premier Division favourites.

Athletic currently sit in 13th place in the table, with six wins, five draws and four defeats from their 15 league games so far this season.

Captain Graham Hall is the side’s leading scorer with 13 goals, while Vinnie Iannone has chipped in with nine. Keeper Mike underwood mas made the most appearances so far this campaign.

David Rock has been chosen as the referee for tonight’s tie, with Callum Chittenden and James Killen appointed as his assistants.

The game kicks-off at 7.45pm and normal entrance prices will apply – £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. U16s can watch the game for free.
