A couple from Ludgershall enjoyed a wedding with a difference over the weekend as they were transported to and from the venue on a tractor and skip lorry.
Matthew Boyt, 31, from Ludgershall works as an HGV driver at Bucks Recycling, and he said it was his line of work which made him decide to choose unusual modes of transport on the day.
He said: “I have always been interested in tractors ever since I was a child so they have always been close to my heart.
“As for the skip lorry, I drive one for a living so it just seemed a good idea at the time.
“I drove both vehicles and helped my wife in and out, so it was a busy day for me.
“The good news was that both vehicles ran without difficulties, and other than having to hold Carmem’s dress there were no problems.”
Matthew met his wife Carmem Boyt, who was born in Brazil , through a friend.
Carmem said: “We started by chatting on Facebook and agreed to meet up in London, because I was living in Bath at the time.
“We got on brilliantly right from the start and we’ve never looked back.”
Alongside Matthew for his special day were his brother Andrew, who was also his best man and his parents John and Barbara.
Carmem was joined by some friends for the event.
Matthew added: “It was back to work on Monday but we do have plans for a honeymoon next February in the Maldives to tie in with Carmem’s 30th.
“I would like to thank everyone who made the day and my boss Trish Murray for allowing use of the skip lorry.”
